LFA 244: WOODLEY VS. HAVENER • AMATEUR PEDIGREE & GYM AUDIT

Complete pre-fight intelligence dossier for LFA 244 (Friday, October 23, 2026 • Mashantucket, CT). Every fighter on the card is audited across Rule #1 (Body First +2–3" Size Law), Verified Amateur / NCAA Wrestling Pedigree, Rule #4 (Gym & Camp Caliber), and Rule #6 (Devil's Advocate Contrarian Stress-Test).

Rule #1: Body First (+2–3" Height & Frame Required)

Rule #4: Elite Fight Camp & Coaching Grading
Rule #5: Flash KO Veto (Plinio Cruz Alert)
Undefeated Shield Protection Active
NCAA D1 #6
Top Pedigree: Jake Woodley (197 lb AA)
GRADE A
Top Camps: Nick Catone MMA & OC RTC

Best Verified Height Edge: Joe Giannetti

Rule #1 vs. Rule #5 Conflicts Detected
EXPLICIT CONFIDENCE & SPORTSBOOK MARKET STATUS (ZERO-ASSUMPTION POLICY)
Per Rule #1 & Rule #5 of our Anti-Hallucination Protocol: Regional LFA 244 moneyline odds have not yet opened on BetOnline / BestFightOdds (lines release Wednesday/Thursday of fight week). Zero odds are fabricated below. Currently, LFA 244 has ZERO automatic Tier-S Locks because the elite gym/pedigree favorites (Jake Woodley, Paul Capaldo, Thomas Blackorby) either lack a verified 2–3" height advantage or face undefeated opponents, while the only +3" taller fighter (Joe Giannetti) faces a dangerous KO puncher coached by Alex Pereira's trainer (Plinio Cruz).

LIVE TAPE STUDY ACTIVE
Jake Woodley (8–1)
Candidate • 2021 NCAA D1 AA (197 lbs) • Team Bodyshop / OC RTC
Sherdog
Key Tape #1: LFA 235 vs. David Wright (June 2026)
Sequence: Woodley sets the all-time LFA record with a 4-second flush overhand right knockout. Notice his forward torque and how his wrestling threat forces opponents to freeze and drop hands.
Key Tape #2: 2021 NCAA D1 Quarters (197 lbs) vs. Cam Caffey / Rocky Elam
Sequence: Watch Woodley's heavy hand fighting and mat returns. He manhandled Division 1 light heavyweights with brute upper-body strength.
Vulnerability Forensic: LFA 198 vs. James Romero
Sole Career Loss (0:57 R1 Anaconda Choke): Woodley shot a blind head-outside level change with lazy neck posture and got caught. This is the exact trap Havener will hunt.
Zayne Havener (6–2)
Opponent • 6'1" (185 cm) Opportunistic Sub Hunter • Nice Guy Submission
Sherdog
Key Tape #1: LFA 190 / Regional Submission Bouts
Danger Sequence: 3 of his 6 wins are by submission (front chokes and armlocks). When fighters shoot into him, he wraps the head immediately and pulls guard with long legs.
Key Tape #2: Havener's 2 Career Losses
Flaw: 1 TKO loss, 1 decision. When grounded by heavy top-heavy grapplers who posture up and do not leave their necks exposed, Havener gets flattened and cannot bridge.
Physical Frame Audit
Havener stands 6'1" (holds a +1" height edge over Woodley on paper). However, he has narrow collarbones compared to Woodley's dense 197-lb frame.
FILM STUDY VERIFICATION CHECKLIST (WOODLEY VS. HAVENER)
Paul Capaldo (8–1)
Candidate • 5–0 Undefeated Ammy Champ • Nick Catone MMA (NJ)
Tactical Breakdown: Spinning Wheel Kick Twitch
Sequence: Combines explosive athletic twitch and surprise power with traditional East Coast wrestler pressure. When opponents drop hands anticipating a level change, Capaldo whips the high kick.
Tactical Breakdown: Scramble Defense & Durability
Forensics: Fought at 145 lbs against an elite BJJ black belt (Jose Perez). Capaldo absorbed heavy shots without ever getting wobbled, dropped, or submitted, maintaining an iron chin over 15 minutes.
Sebastian Ruiz (7–5)
Opponent • 5'9" (175 cm) • Maretazo Muay Thai • Former ROC Champ
Tactical Vulnerability: Front Choke & Back-Foot Defense
Defensive Lapse: Ruiz was caught and tapped in a guillotine choke against Lucas Seibert at CFFC 153. When pressured against the fence by power wrestlers, he tends to give up his neck.
Flash Danger: 3 Head Kick Knockouts
Flash Threat: Ruiz has 3 head kick KOs in his pro career (ROC 63 & ROC 80). Capaldo cannot afford to drop his right hand when stepping inside.
FILM STUDY VERIFICATION CHECKLIST (CAPALDO VS. RUIZ)
Joe Giannetti (17–8–1)
Candidate • 6'0" (74" Reach) • TUF 27 Finalist • South Shore
Sherdog
Key Tape #1: TUF 27 Guillotine Choke Finishes
Giannetti is one of the most dangerous opportunistic front-choke hunters in New England. He snatches guillotines and d'arces the instant an opponent dips low.
Key Tape #2: Cage Titans Decision Runs
Uses his 6'0" frame and 74-inch reach to pump front push kicks and straight crosses from long range. Very durable chin over 26 pro bouts.
Ednilson Santos (14–7–1)
Opponent • 5'9" (17–5 cm) • Cruz MMA / Plinio Cruz (Alex Pereira Coach)
Sherdog
Critical Rule #5 Flash KO Danger: Plinio Cruz Striking
Santos trains directly with UFC 2-Division Champ Alex Pereira under head striking coach Plinio Cruz. He carries devastating left hooks and flying knees in the first 2 minutes.
FILM STUDY VERIFICATION CHECKLIST (GIANNETTI VS. SANTOS)
Thomas Blackorby (5–0)
Candidate • 4–0 Ammy MMA + WAKO Champ • Peoria AC / Belal Muhammad Room
Sherdog
Key Tape #1: LFA Stoppages & Chicago Sparring Rounds
Relentless kickboxing volume combined with wrestling defense developed alongside UFC Champion Belal Muhammad. High-pressure forward marching.
Devan Worth (5–0)
Opponent • 5–0 Undefeated Pro & Ammy • No Limits / Bellmore Kickboxing (NY)
Sherdog
The Undefeated Shield Trap
Worth has never lost an MMA fight in his entire amateur or professional life out of Bellmore Kickboxing. He matches Blackorby's undefeated momentum and confidence.
FILM STUDY VERIFICATION CHECKLIST (BLACKORBY VS. WORTH)
Oscar Jurado (6–2)
Candidate • 5'8" (173 cm) • Combat Zone 125lb Champ (83% Finishes)
Sherdog
Key Tape #1: Combat Zone Title Win
Jurado holds a +2" height edge (5'8" vs 5'6") at flyweight. He fights long and has aggressive submission setups from the back.
Maikel Reinoso (6–1)
Opponent • 5'6" (168 cm) • Venezuelan Standout • Cage Titans FC
Sherdog
Key Tape #1: Cage Titans 76 TKO over Joe Poirier
Heavy compact power puncher. Has 0 stoppage losses in his entire professional career. Extremely durable flyweight.

RULE #4 AUDIT: BEST FIGHT CAMPS & SPARRING ROOMS ON LFA 244

Ranked from highest championship pedigree (#1) to regional level based on coaching staff and UFC sparring partners.
1. Paul Capaldo (8–1)
GRADE A • #1 CAMP
Nick Catone MMA & Fitness / AMA Fight Club (NJ)
Why It Ranks #1: Coached by UFC veteran Nick Catone inside the premier New Jersey wrestling and BJJ coalition (historically home to Frankie Edgar, Marlon Moraes, and dozens of UFC/DWCS veterans). Paired with Capaldo's 5–0 undefeated amateur run, this is the sharpest technical camp setup on the East Coast card.
2. Jake Woodley (8–1)
GRADE A • #2 CAMP
Univ. of Oklahoma D1 Room / Team Bodyshop & OC RTC (CA)
Why It Ranks #2: Combines a Division I All-American wrestling foundation at Oklahoma with Team Bodyshop (Antonio McKee / AJ Matthews) and the Orange County Regional Training Center. Elite chain-wrestling, cage pressure, and championship 5-round conditioning.
3. Thomas Blackorby (5–0)
GRADE A- • #3 CAMP
Peoria Athletic Club + Chicago Pro Rooms
Why It Ranks #3: While rooted at Peoria Athletic Club, Blackorby prepares in elite Chicago pro rooms directly alongside UFC Welterweight Champion Belal Muhammad and UFC Middleweight contender Brendan Allen. Iron sharpens iron.
4. Ednilson Santos (14–7–1)
GRADE B+ • KO HAZARD
Cruz MMA / Teixeira MMA Coalition (CT)
Critical Rule #5 Alert: Santos trains under Plinio Cruz (head striking coach and cornerman for UFC Two-Division Champion Alex Pereira). Even though Santos is 34 and 3 inches shorter than Giannetti, Plinio Cruz's striking system makes Santos a massive Flash KO Spoiler.
5. Eliab Evangelista (4–2)
GRADE B+ • BJJ ROOM
Renzo Gracie Academy (Manhattan, NY)
World-Class Grappling Room: Trains out of the legendary blue basement at Renzo Gracie NYC. Elite submission threats from every angle, though traditional BJJ rooms can struggle when matched against stocky Midwest wrestlers who refuse to engage on the mat.
6. Joe Giannetti (17–8–1)
GRADE B • NEW ENGLAND
South Shore Sportfighting (MA) + Past AKA Stints
Battle-Tested Regional Staple: Coached by Bill Mahoney at South Shore Sportfighting (which has produced multiple UFC and TUF fighters) with past cross-training at AKA. High-level submission opportunism, though day-to-day sparring is more regional than top national mega-gyms.

Natural FrameDense 197-lb D1 Power WrestlerLanky 185-lb Opportunistic Grappler
Protocol Verdict: Woodley has the #1 wrestling pedigree on the entire card (a 2021 NCAA D1 All-American at 197 lbs who made history as the #26 seed reaching the NCAA semifinals). He dominates Rule #3 (Ground Dominance) and Rule #4 (Gym). HOWEVER: Under Rule #1 (The Supreme Law), Woodley is listed at 6'0" vs. Havener at 6'1". We DO NOT bet smaller fighters blindly—wait for Thursday weigh-in faceoffs to verify if Woodley's 197-lb bone density and real height dwarf Havener in person.

Protocol Verdict: Giannetti is the ONLY fighter on LFA 244 with a verified +3 inch height advantage (6'0" vs 5'9"), went 4–0 as an amateur, and has elite chin durability (almost never KO'd). Devil's Advocate Warning: Giannetti has a skinny ectomorph build ("Skeletor"), accepts bottom position too willingly, and Santos trains under Plinio Cruz (Alex Pereira's coach) with >5–0% KO wins. High Rule #5 Flash KO tension.

Protocol Verdict: Capaldo checks Rule #2 (Defense), Rule #3 (Takedown + Top Control), and Rule #4 (#1 Gym on Card at Nick Catone MMA), backed by a 13–1 combined Pro/Ammy record (8–1 Pro, 5–0 Ammy). Because Ruiz's height is unlisted in athletic databases, we must visually verify at Thursday's weigh-ins whether Capaldo holds the physical frame edge before pulling the trigger.

Fight Camp (Rule #4)Peoria AC + Chicago (Spars w/ Belal Muhammad & Brendan Allen)Bellmore Kickboxing / Transcend Grappling (Long Island, NY)
Protocol Verdict: Blackorby has the deepest amateur striking/MMA mileage on the card (30+ amateur bouts, WAKO National Title) and spars with UFC Champion Belal Muhammad. However, Devan Worth is ALSO 5–0 undefeated as a pro and undefeated as an amateur out of Bellmore Kickboxing. Our Undefeated Shield Rule forbids betting against an undefeated prospect unless weigh-ins reveal a massive 3+ inch size mismatch.

RULE #6 FIGHT SPARRING MODE: CONTRARIAN VULNERABILITY AUDIT

Why we refuse to force early capital onto LFA 244 before weigh-ins and opening lines drop—here is how each popular favorite on this card can get clipped:

The Jake Woodley Trap
Everyone sees "Oklahoma D1 All-American" and assumes an automatic smash. But Woodley is 6'0" facing a 6'1" opportunistic submission hunter in Zayne Havener across 5 championship rounds. If Woodley shoots head-inside single legs into guillotines or triangles without a height/leverage buffer, D1 credentials won't save his neck.
The Joe Giannetti Trap
Giannetti passes the +3" height rule (6'0" vs 5'9") and has a 4–0 amateur / TUF 27 pedigree, but his literal nickname is "Skeletor" and he has 8 pro losses because he accepts bottom guard instead of wrestling up. Worse, Ednilson Santos is coached by Plinio Cruz (Alex Pereira's coach) and throws bombs inside the pocket.
The Blackorby vs. Worth Clash
Blackorby's 30+ amateur fights and sparring rounds with Belal Muhammad make him look like a lock, but Devan Worth is an undefeated 5–0 pro and undefeated amateur out of Bellmore Kickboxing. Pitting two 5–0 prospects against each other violates our Undefeated Shield preservation rule.
Thursday Weigh-In Trigger Plan
Our execution trigger for Friday night: (1) Check Thursday faceoffs to see if Paul Capaldo (Nick Catone MMA, 5–0 Ammy) holds a 2–3" size edge over Ruiz, and (2) verify if Jake Woodley's 197-lb frame visually dwarfs Havener despite the 6'0" vs 6'1" paper listing.
